Christmas Fair

Thank you to everyone who came along to support our school community at the Dumbarton Academy Christmas Fair.  It was a huge success with more than £800 being made by Parent Council which will be spent on our pupils. Massive well done to our Parent Council and Miss Hawkins & the Higher Leadership team.

Volleyball Club

The PE department are starting a volleyball club for staff and pupils during lunchtime every Friday.

All pupils are welcome and the club will start this Friday 1st December.

National pupils with upcoming performance assessments in volleyball are encouraged to attend to help prepare for this.

Charlie Flynn Visit

Well done to every pupil who participated in the event! We raised a fantastic £219.24 for Charlie!

At the end of the event, all house points were tallied and the final results were:

  1. Leven – 331 points
  2. Fruin – 265 points
  3. Clyde – 256 points
  4. Luss – 200 points

St Petersburg Visit

On Tuesday 31st October Dumbarton Academy will be hosting pupils and teachers who are visiting from St Petersburg.

They will be involved in some lessons during the afternoon as well as some extra-curricular activities after school.

The pupils are visiting Scotland to perform their adaptation of Robert Burns’ “Tam O’Shanter” in Glasgow on 1st November. Tickets are still available for this concert; if you’d like any more information regarding this then please see Miss Cannon for details.
